The Cosmic Rod is the source of all Jack's superpowers. It also functions as a Bo staff/spear that suits itself well to Jack's style of combat. The rod grants Jack the power of flight by generating an anti-gravity field around his body. This same field can be generated around other objects, allowing Jack to levitate other objects. The Rod can generate a magnetic field around Jack that can repel bullets. This field can also be aimed at a target, allowing Jack to physically repel or attract objects. The Rod can create focused bursts of energy, beams of light and radiate intense heat. Pressing a number of switches on the grips controls the Rod. It can also be controlled through a telepathic interface that is cued to respond only to Jack's brain patterns.
